About the Role
As a Territory Account Executive, you will drive new business and expand Block’s Square ecosystem by building relationships with merchants in your territory, managing a robust sales pipeline, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure merchant success. This is a hands-on, quota-driven sales role with remote flexibility.
What you'll do
- Identify and qualify new merchant opportunities within your territory
- Develop strategic account plans to achieve renewal and expansion revenue
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Conduct product demonstrations and tailored presentations for prospective merchants
- Negotiate terms, close deals, and onboard new customers
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to ensure merchant satisfaction and adoption
- Track progress and report metrics to leadership
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales, territory management, or a proven track record of quota attainment
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a complete sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a collaborative team player
- Willingness to travel as needed
Nice to have
- Knowledge of payments, fintech, or merchant services
- Previous experience with Square or Block product ecosystems
