About Block

Block (formerly Square) is a payments and software company helping merchants manage their business more effectively. This remote-friendly Territory Account Executive role supports growth across Boise and adjacent markets while enabling distributed collaboration with our Square ecosystem.

About the Role

As a Territory Account Executive, you will drive new business and expand Block’s Square ecosystem by building relationships with merchants in your territory, managing a robust sales pipeline, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure merchant success. This is a hands-on, quota-driven sales role with remote flexibility.

What you'll do

  • Identify and qualify new merchant opportunities within your territory
  • Develop strategic account plans to achieve renewal and expansion revenue
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
  • Conduct product demonstrations and tailored presentations for prospective merchants
  • Negotiate terms, close deals, and onboard new customers
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to ensure merchant satisfaction and adoption
  • Track progress and report metrics to leadership

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales, territory management, or a proven track record of quota attainment
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a complete sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a collaborative team player
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of payments, fintech, or merchant services
  • Previous experience with Square or Block product ecosystems
