Strategic Sourcing Technology Sub Category Lead

Overview

Block is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Technology Sub Category Lead to drive technology enabled procurement strategies across the organization. This remote friendly role supports the Centralized Block unit and collaborates with Finance & Accounting, IT, and cross functional teams to deliver significant value through strategic sourcing of technology-related spend.

What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of technology focused sourcing category strategies
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to align procurement with strategic objectives
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost optimization and risk management
• Own supplier performance governance, onboarding, and ongoing vendor management
• Provide data driven insights on spend, savings opportunities, and ROI for technology initiatives
• Lead cross functional projects and influence decision making at senior levels
