Block is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives within its Finance & Accounting functions. This full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, Australia offers an opportunity to shape Block's supplier strategy and deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining supplier performance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for direct and indirect spend
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting efforts with a focus on value creation and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliant, efficient procurement processes
• Manage supplier onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing relationship management
• Analyze spend data, identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
• Implement governance and procurement policy improvements across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 5+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement
• Proven track record in vendor management and contract negotiations
• Strong analytical and financial acumen; data-driven decision making
• Experience with procurement tools and systems is a plus (e.g., Ariba, Coupa)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
