About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Finance Manager for Japan who will lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis to drive growth and profitability in the Japanese market. You will partner with local and global teams and report to senior leadership with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes for Japan.
• Develop robust financial models, scenario planning, and KPI dashboards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (product, sales, operations) to optimize profitability and spend.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and maintain strong internal controls; coordinate with tax and legal as needed.
• Provide actionable insights to regional and global leadership through clear reporting and analyses.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in finance/FP&A, controllership, or related roles, preferably in tech/fintech.
• Strong financial modeling, analytics, and business partnering capabilities.
• Experience with the Japanese market and local regulatory requirements; ability to collaborate across functional teams.
• Proficiency in Excel; SQL or data visualization experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications (CPA/CMA/CFA) are a plus.
