Overview

Block is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join the Finance & Accounting team in Melbourne, Australia. This role will partner with commercial and regional leaders to drive strategic financial planning, robust forecasting, and insightful financial analysis to support Block's growth in the Australian market.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Australia region.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights and performance metrics.
• Drive process improvements, financial controls, and governance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Support M&A, partnerships, and new business initiatives with rigorous financial analysis.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in strategy, FP&A, or corporate finance roles.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills; advanced proficiency with Excel and financial systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
