Senior Strategic Pricing Analyst

Block (the company behind Cash App) is seeking a Senior Strategic Pricing Analyst to help shape pricing decisions that unlock growth and profitability across our products and services.

Role Overview

You will lead pricing strategy, financial modeling, and data-driven analysis to optimize revenue and margins. The role requires close collaboration with Finance, Product, Revenue, and Sales to translate data into actionable pricing decisions that support Block’s strategic goals. This position is open to remote work and can operate primarily from a location of your choice within North America.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and continuously optimize pricing strategies for Block products and services.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to assess pricing options, monitor elasticity, and forecast impact on revenue and margins.
• Analyze competitive landscape and market conditions to inform pricing decisions and promotional strategies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Data Science, and Sales to translate insights into pricing changes and policy updates.
• Create dashboards and reports (SQL and BI tools) to monitor pricing performance and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Lead quarterly pricing reviews, manage governance of pricing data, and ensure consistency with internal controls and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. 5+ years of pricing/analytics experience in tech or fintech, preferably with SaaS or digital services.
• Strong SQL skills and advanced Excel proficiency; experience with financial modeling and data storytelling.
• Hands-on experience with pricing strategy, price optimization, and elasticity analysis; ability to build and defend data-driven recommendations.
• Proficiency with data visualization/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and a track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills; comfortable presenting to executives and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of pricing concepts such as bundling, promotions, tiered pricing, and discounting; experience with A/B testing is a plus.
