Block is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Compliance Tooling Engineering to join our engineering organization. This remote-friendly role will design and build internal tooling to support Block's compliance initiatives. You will collaborate with platform teams to implement scalable, maintainable software that improves governance, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance across Block's products.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software tooling for compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, governance, and product to define requirements
- Contribute to architecture and code reviews; drive quality and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and help build a strong engineering culture
Qualifications
- Senior Software Engineer with several years of experience in software development
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality tooling
- Experience building scalable internal tooling and systems
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
