Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Modeling), Risk Identity
Block is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy modeling solutions for risk identity across its Cash App ecosystem. This role focuses on production‑grade machine learning, risk modeling, and scalable data pipelines.
What you'll do
- Design, train, and productionize ML models for risk identity and fraud detection.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Risk, and Engineering teams to define features and modeling strategies.
- Build robust data pipelines, feature stores, experimentation workflows, and model monitoring systems.
- Monitor model performance, drift, and security/compliance considerations in production.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the ML platform and tooling.
Qualifications
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
- Experience with SQL and large-scale data processing.
- Knowledge of risk/identity domains; fraud detection experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Location
