Role Overview

As Senior Business Development Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you will identify, negotiate, and secure high-impact partnerships with strategic partners, developers, and merchants to expand Block’s global reach and revenue. You will work cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, legal, and partnerships to structure deals that deliver mutual value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic partnerships plan to drive revenue and ecosystem growth.
  • Identify, target, and engage potential partners aligned with Block’s strategy.
  • Lead complex deal negotiations, contract terms, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement partnerships and measure success.
  • Manage and nurture partner relationships to maximize long-term value and retention.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances, preferably in fintech, payments, or technology platforms.
  • Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar deals and growing partner ecosystems.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and deal structuring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API integrations, developer ecosystems, or platform partnerships.
  • Experience working with cross-border partners in Asia-Pacific markets.
