Role Overview
Block is seeking a Senior Android Engineer for the Core Surfaces team within the Cash App ecosystem. You will own the Android experience and collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, reliable mobile features.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications for Core Surfaces
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship features
- Write unit and instrumentation tests and ensure performance
- Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Android development experience
- Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
- Experience with Android SDK, MVVM/clean architecture
- Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing
Nice to have
- Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose
- Security and privacy considerations on mobile

Compensation
Salary for this role falls within the Zone A USD pay range: approximately $217,800–$326,800 per year (rounded to the nearest thousand: $218,000–$327,000).
