We are looking for a results‑driven Sales Development Manager to lead our prospecting and pipeline development for the Block/Square sales organization in North America.

Role Overview

The Sales Development Manager will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), own outbound and inbound prospecting strategy, coach reps, and partner with Account Executives to drive revenue. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on building a high‑quality pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and enabling the sales team to accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high‑performing SDR team.
  • Develop and execute multi‑channel prospecting campaigns (email, calls, social) to generate outbound and inbound pipeline.
  • Coach on discovery calls, qualification criteria, and early‑stage opportunity management.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing to align on ICPs, messaging, and pipeline targets.
  • Track and report on key metrics (pipeline, conversion rates, activity levels) and forecast accurately.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and ensure data quality and process compliance.
  • Contribute to territory planning and quota attainment for the team.
  • Represent Block with a customer‑first mindset and uphold high ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales development experience, preferably in software/fintech.
  • Proven success building and leading SDR teams or performing as a front‑line manager.
  • Track record of generating and qualifying high‑quality opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Self‑starter, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
