Overview
Block is seeking a Product Manager for the Record to Report (R2R) workflow to join our Product team in the Bay Area. This role will own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Block's R2R product area, partnering with finance, accounting, engineering, and compliance teams to deliver scalable software that improves financial close accuracy, reporting, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and create a clear, data-driven roadmap for the Record to Report domain.
- Gather and analyze requirements from finance, accounting, compliance, and business stakeholders; translate into well-scoped user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, and analytics teams to design, build, test, and launch features that improve financial close and reporting.
- Prioritize backlogs, manage trade-offs, and communicate progress to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Define and track success metrics (e.g., close cycle time, accuracy, and reporting quality); iteratively improve based on data insights.
- Ensure regulatory and security considerations are embedded in product development.
- Coordinate with global teams to align on roadmap and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, preferably with finance, accounting, ERP, or financial systems experience.
- Proven track record shipping enterprise software with a focus on data accuracy and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with SQL or data analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with Record to Report processes (General Ledger, Journal Entries, close cycles) is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or related advanced degree a plus.
