Product Compliance Manager, Seller

Overview

Block is seeking a Product Compliance Manager, Seller to lead the regulatory compliance program for Block's Seller platform. This role collaborates with Legal, Product, Risk, and Operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws while enabling sellers to operate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of product compliance programs for the Seller platform, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company policy.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Risk, and Operations to interpret regulations, draft policies, and implement controls.
• Monitor changes in consumer protection, data privacy, anti-fraud, tax, and payments regulations affecting the Seller ecosystem; translate into actionable requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, remediation plans, and track program effectiveness and metrics.
• Advise product teams on compliance by design and provide training and documentation for internal stakeholders and external sellers.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, regulator inquiries, and data requests; maintain thorough, auditable records.
• Support scalability of compliance across Block's Seller platform and partner networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of regulatory or product compliance experience in technology, fintech, or payments.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. seller compliance requirements, privacy, data security, and consumer protection laws.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to influence product decisions.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
