Job Description
Block is seeking a Principal Product Designer, Public Web to lead the design of our public-facing web experiences. This remote-friendly role can be based in North America with the option to work from the Bay Area. You will shape product strategy, design systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional web experiences.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end product design for Block's public web experiences
- Define and evolve the design system and UI components
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Contribute to design strategy, research, and user testing
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of public-facing web work
- Expertise in Figma, design systems, and UX best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence product direction
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including engineering and research
- Nice to have: knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/React)
