Block is hiring for an iOS Software Engineer to join the Card Experience - Graphics team in New York. This is a on-site, regular full-time role focused on delivering high-quality graphical experiences within the Cash App ecosystem.

Role Overview

As an iOS Software Engineer on the Card Experience - Graphics team, you will design and implement high-performance, visually rich card experiences for Block's Cash App users on iOS. You will collaborate with design, product, and platform teams to ship features with excellent visuals, accessibility, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, production-quality iOS features using Swift and UIKit
• Implement graphics-focused components and optimize rendering (e.g., CoreGraphics, Metal/MetalKit)
• Collaborate with design, product, and platform teams to ship end-to-end experiences
• Profile and optimize performance, memory, and battery usage
• Write unit and UI tests; participate in code reviews and maintain code quality

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional iOS development
• Strong proficiency in Swift; experience with UIKit
• Experience with graphics frameworks (CoreGraphics, Metal/MetalKit)
• Familiarity with performance profiling tools and debugging
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Compensation

Salary ranges reflect Zone A as USD 217,800 - 326,800 with other zones offering different ranges. Final offer depends on experience and location.
