Compliance Program Quality & Communications Manager

Role overview

Block is seeking a Compliance Program Quality & Communications Manager to lead the design, execution, and communications of our compliance program. This is a full-time remote role open to candidates across North America. The ideal candidate will drive quality controls, policy updates, and cross-functional communications to ensure regulatory readiness and clear internal/external messaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee quality assurance processes for Block's compliance program
• Lead communications around policy changes, training, and regulatory updates
• Collaborate with Legal, Policy, Security, and Business teams to implement compliant practices
• Create and maintain documentation, playbooks, dashboards, and training materials
• Manage metrics and reporting on program effectiveness and risk indicators
• Support internal audits and regulatory inquiries with clear, accurate information
• Drive continuous improvement of controls and risk management across the organization
• Build scalable processes to enable company-wide adoption of compliance standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years in compliance, regulatory affairs, risk management, or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field (or equivalent)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts
• Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
• Familiarity with fintech, payments, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., KYC/AML)
• Ability to work remotely across North America; self-motivated and organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Location and work model

Remote within North America. This is a full-time position with a remote-friendly work model.

Salary range

Zone A (USD): $129,000.00 – $194,000.00 per year. Canadian ranges are also available for Canada Zone A/B in CAD.
