Senior Software Engineer - Android

Join Blacklane as a Senior Software Engineer focused on Android. Work with a cross-functional team to build scalable mobile experiences for our global platform. This role is based in Europe and available in Berlin, Barcelona, London, or Madrid (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Collaborate with product, backend, iOS, design, and QA teams to ship features.
• Drive architecture decisions and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong mobile team.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security of mobile experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (and Java) for Android development.
• Experience with Android Architecture Components, MVVM, Jetpack, and modern Android tooling.
• Familiarity with REST/GraphQL, data persistence, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in one of our European offices.
