Data Scientist at BLACKLANE — join our global digital transport platform to turn data into actionable insights that improve mobility, pricing, and customer experience. This on-site role is based in one of our European offices: Berlin, Barcelona, or London.

Responsibilities

Build and deploy machine learning models to forecast demand, optimize pricing, and improve operational efficiency
Analyze large datasets, design experiments, and quantify impact
Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting to empower stakeholders
Communicate findings with clear storytelling and actionable recommendations

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in data science or ML engineering
Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and common ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to translate data into business insights

Nice to have

Experience in travel, mobility, or logistics domains
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
