Overview
Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Tools team. In this remote-friendly, full‑time role, you will design and build scalable tooling and internal infrastructure to accelerate development, improve build pipelines, and empower engineers across Bitwarden. You will collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to enhance reliability, performance, and security, and mentor junior engineers to help raise the bar for developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain tooling and infrastructure to support internal developers
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, and developer tooling
- Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to improve reliability and security
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering experience with systems languages (e.g., Rust, Go) or modern backend tech
- Experience with CI/CD, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS)
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable tooling
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
