Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (Tools) at Bitwarden, you will design, build, and maintain internal developer tools that enable our engineers to ship secure and reliable software quickly. You will collaborate with platform and security teams to improve developer productivity and tooling reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, implement internal developer tools and dashboards
Build APIs and frontend components to support CI/CD, release workflows, and developer experiences
Collaborate with security, product, and platform teams to improve security tooling and compliance workflows
Write tests, perform code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions
Improve observability and tooling for engineering teams

Requirements

3+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in at least two of: TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Rust, React
Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with security tooling or password management domain
Familiarity with security best practices, threat modeling
