HMIS: Project Manager

Job Overview

Bitfocus is seeking an experienced HMIS: Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of HMIS projects. You will work with customers, partners, and internal teams to implement and optimize Bitfocus HMIS solutions, ensure data governance and compliance, and drive successful go-lives.

Responsibilities

• Lead HMIS projects end-to-end, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality management.
• Gather and document requirements from clients and stakeholders; translate into clear project plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, data analysts, trainers, and customer success) to meet timelines.
• Manage data integration, data quality, privacy, and HUD HMIS data standards compliance.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders; create status reports; manage expectations.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage changes in scope.
• Provide training and post-implementation support; contribute to knowledge base and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare IT or HMIS-enabled environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, health informatics, public health, or related field.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HMIS standards, HUD HMIS data standards, data governance, and privacy practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies; familiarity with JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
