Bird is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Mechanic to maintain our fleet of electric scooters in Santa Monica, CA. In this role you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable transportation for riders.

Join Bird's fleet maintenance team to keep scooters in top condition and supported in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on Bird's electric vehicle fleet
- Perform routine maintenance and component replacements
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems and document repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop; adhere to safety policies
- Collaborate with Fleet Operations to address critical repairs quickly
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance or EV repair
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and battery technology
- Ability to lift and handle scooters and parts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications are a plus
