Job Summary

As a Vehicle Mechanic in Milwaukee, WI, you will maintain and repair Bird's fleet of electric scooters and other vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime for riders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and battery systems on Bird vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace parts, perform battery service, firmware updates when applicable.
• Document service work in our maintenance software and keep accurate records.
• Support field operations and respond to urgent repair requests as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional mechanical experience; automotive or EV repair preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, electrical, and battery systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and troubleshoot under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and perform field service as required; valid driver's license may be required.
