About the role

BigID is looking for a Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer to join our engineering team in Chennai. In this role you will build and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript across both frontend and backend, collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality software that protects data and privacy.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript tooling (React, TypeScript)
Build and maintain backend services with Node.js and REST/GraphQL APIs
Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to shape technical direction
Write clean, well-documented code and implement unit/integration tests
Participate in design reviews, performance optimization, and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions
Contribute to system architecture and scalability decisions

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with strong JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with Node.js and a frontend framework (React preferred)
Proficiency with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containers (Docker)
Understanding of CI/CD practices and testing (Jest, Cypress)
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

Interest in data privacy and security domain
Experience with BigID products is a plus
