A Better Opportunity

Better is growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Associate – Mortgage Technology Salesto help support key growth initiatives across strategic partnerships, client relationships, and operational development. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with 2+ years of experience in banking or financial services who is looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

You’ll work across teams—including Strategy, Product, and Operations—to help drive new business opportunities, support partner engagement, and strengthen Better’s market position.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic growth efforts by researching markets, identifying potential partners, leading client pitches and outreach
  • Manage pipeline of customers - lead client interactions, run demos, foster long term business relationships with prospects
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support client onboarding, engagement, and success
  • Analyze internal and external data to surface trends, opportunities, and strategic insights
  • Assist in developing business cases for new initiatives and expansion opportunities
  • Help improve and scale internal business development processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across product offerings and client needs
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), report on business development efforts, and identify areas for improvement
  • Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a client-facing role in financial services or fintech
  • Bachelor’s degree required; business, economics, or finance-related majors preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from data and communicate them effectively
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable preparing materials for both internal leadership and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • The base compensation range for this role is $125,000 + up to 100% performance bonus of base salary
