We are looking for a full stack engineer to join our growing Mobile team. Beta’s mobile app will give our users the ability to charge, cabin pre-condition, and more with our electric Alia aircraft. The full stack engineer will be responsible for developing a back office web application and assisting with API design and development. The person in this position will work in a cross-functional team environment and support the development of Beta’s mobile app in the evolving world of eVTOL aircraft design.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Design and develop web applications and APIs using CDK to support all areas of our business.
  • Explore and Leverage AI tools and work flows to accelerate development, and improve quality.
  • Ensure a consistent experience across all software developed.
  • Build -> Measure -> Learn. Think like an entrepreneur.
  • Design, write, test and deploy production-ready code.
  • Work with subject matter experts in all areas to develop small, high value applications and features that delight our users.
  • Participate in the software guild(s) to improve BETA's software organization.

    • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 3 years experience in a software engineering role.
  • Experience as a prompt engineer using AI tools and workflows.
  • Experience working with Git version control.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

    • Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Single Page Applications (SPA) such as ReactJS or Vue and JAMstack.
  • Proficiency consuming/developing APIs.
  • Experience developing handheld device apps, React Native.
  • Experience developing Chrome Extensions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with IAC such as CDK and Terraform.
  • Experience in a startup.
