Berkadia is a leading commercial real estate finance and investment services firm. We are seeking a Senior Real Estate Analyst focused on Seniors Housing to join our team in Phoenix.

Role Overview

The Senior Real Estate Analyst will support underwriting, financial analysis, and market research for senior housing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate investment and financing insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models (underwriting, cash flow, IRR, NPV) for senior housing assets.
• Assess operating performance, rental income, occupancy trends, capex, and NOI projections.
• Prepare investment memoranda, lender packages, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct market and feasibility research to inform underwriting and strategy for seniors housing markets.
• Collaborate with underwriting, debt, and asset management teams to structure financing solutions.
• Support due diligence and collaboration during acquisitions, dispositions, or portfolio reviews.
• Present findings to senior leadership and external partners with clear, data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in real estate finance, underwriting, or analytics, with a focus on seniors housing or healthcare real estate.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and data visualization. Familiarity with ARGUS or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
