Overview
Berkadia is seeking a Senior Real Estate Analyst to join its Seniors Housing practice. The analyst will support financial analysis, market research, underwriting, and investment modeling for seniors housing properties. This role involves building and reviewing cash flow models, conducting feasibility analyses, underwriting potential acquisitions, and assisting with due diligence and portfolio reporting. Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and clear communication to senior leadership and clients are essential.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models (DCF, cap rate, ROI) for seniors housing projects.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to support investment decisions.
- Underwrite acquisitions and dispositions, prepare investment memoranda, and contribute to due diligence.
- Assist with closing processes, portfolio performance tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with originations, asset management, and finance teams.
- Prepare concise presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate analysis, preferably seniors housing.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools; experience with Argus is a plus.
- Knowledge of seniors housing market dynamics, valuation methods, and underwriting techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
