What You'll Do

  • Driving sales development initiatives with a hands-on approach
  • Hire, build, and coach a team of Sales Development Representatives across North America and partner closely with our broader Global Revenue organization
  • Collaborate and closely align with Marketing to ensure full campaign data and system support of marketing activities, including pre and post campaign involvement and ensure the delivery of qualified leads to our sales teams
  • Instill a mentality of grit, coachability, intelligence and curiosity related all aspects of sales development and demand generation
  • Build and execute lead generation strategies to yield a strong pipeline of well-qualified opportunities
  • Partner with marketing to ensure all campaign activities are tracked and documented properly
  • Lead the execution of campaigns and initiatives within the sales development organization
  • Train and manage talented new hires and grow them to become top performers
  • Understand and maintain current competitive information throughout the team
  • Develop and share knowledge and best practices related to implementing commission plans, reviewing commission structures, and defining targets on a periodic basis
  • Provide visibility to leadership on performance, campaigns, results, and pipeline development
  • Motivate your team to overachieve and hit their goals early
  • Retain key talent through hands-on leadership, coaching, and promoting Bazaarvoice values
  • Openly address performance challenges by providing clear, consistent, and constructive feedback
  • Track performance and provide reporting to ensure quality and accountability on all deliverables
  • Define team goals, special projects, strategic initiatives, and conduct quarterly performance reviews
  • Establish span-of-control flexibility by creating Team Lead (player/coach) opportunities for developing leaders within the team
  • Organize and lead team building activities to promote a fun and engaging team culture and rewarding atmosphere to keep employees motivated support positive moral
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to leverage and share best practices

What You'll Bring

  • 2-4 years of relevant career experience
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Career background includes sales development, inside sales, or market development experience
  • Expertise in business development within a SaaS or e-Commerce organizations
  • Adept at building strong relationships both internal and external stakeholders

Compensation

Salary range: $130,000 - $140,000 USD per year

OTE information: At Bazaarvoice, we carefully consider multiple factors when determining compensation. Since we believe the transparency and integrity builds trust, we want to share that we expect the OTE (on target earnings) for this position to be in the range listed above is based on Bazaarvoice's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. While this is a good faith estimate of the expected OTE range, Bazaarvoice reserves the right to pay outside this range if these assumptions and understandings are modified as we progress through the interview process.
