We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This critical role will support core accounting operations and play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow across multiple accounts; ensure proper cash positioning and recommend transfers as needed.
  • Lease Accounting: Maintain accurate compliance with ASC 842, including initial recognition and approval of lease entry into Lease Query.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring all entries are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with the monthly close process including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Aid in drafting and execution of payment transactions.
  • Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-size company or advertising agency.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842).
  • Experience with accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
