Bandwidth is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to join our London team to lead regulatory and compliance efforts for telecom products, privacy and data protection in the UK and EU.
Role overview
As Regulatory Counsel, you will advise on regulatory requirements, draft and negotiate licenses and regulatory filings, monitor policy developments, and partner with product, privacy, and commercial teams to embed compliance across Bandwidth’s offerings.
Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory guidance on telecom, privacy, consumer protection, and data protection laws in the UK and EU.
- Draft and negotiate licenses, terms, and regulatory filings.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on potential impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance across products and partnerships.
- Manage external counsel and regulatory inquiries as needed.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in the United Kingdom with eligibility to practice.
- 4+ years of regulatory or compliance experience in telecommunications or data privacy.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to explain complex regulatory concepts clearly.
- Experience with UK GDPR/UK privacy law; familiarity with EU GDPR and telecom licensing is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
