The IP Network Engineer Role

Based in Iași, Romania, you will design, implement, operate, and optimize Bandwidth's IP networking infrastructure to support our global services. This role focuses on reliable routing, switching, security, and performance across distributed environments.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize IP networks (BGP, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6).
Operate routers and switches (Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos) and network devices.
Manage WAN connectivity, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in capacity planning.
Collaborate with security, operations, and product teams to ensure robust network security and reliability.
Document architectures, runbooks, and changes.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on IP networking experience.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv6.
Experience with Cisco IOS or Juniper Junos.
Familiarity with security concepts (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs).
Automation scripting (Python, Shell) is a plus.
