Backend Engineer, Knowledge Graph (Rust)

📋 Description

• Implement backend features in the Rust Knowledge Graph service, incl. endpoints.
• Maintain integrations with Rails, Data Insights Platform, and Duo Agent.
• Contribute to system design for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Improve observability: metrics, logging, runbooks, alerts; on-call.
• Collaborate asynchronously with product, data, infra, security, and AI teams.
• Use AI-assisted development workflows with Knowledge Graph-backed agents.

🎯 Requirements

• Backend experience building production systems with reliability and maintainability.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and strong Rust interest.
• Exposure to distributed data or analytics: OLAP, Kafka/NATS, or CDC pipelines.
• Interest in graph data modeling and property graphs (multi-hop traversals).
• Practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day development.
• Language-agnostic mindset; can learn Ruby, Go, or TypeScript/Vue as needed.
