Senior Solutions Engineer, Public Sector - Italy

Role Overview

Axon is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector in Italy. This is an on-site technical role that partners with government and public safety organizations to design, demonstrate, and deploy Axon solutions. You will work with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate customer requirements into compelling technical proposals, build proofs of concept, and guide customers through procurement and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with public sector customers in Italy to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and partners.
• Respond to RFPs and support solution scoping with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Create and maintain proofs-of-concept and pilots to validate solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption; provide technical training to customers and internal teams.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes and ensure compliance considerations are addressed in solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting, preferably with public sector experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and security/compliance considerations.
• Willingness to travel within Italy.
• Knowledge of cloud-based software, data integration, and secure data handling is a plus.
