Overview
Axon is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting - Special Projects based in Sterling, Virginia. This role leads strategic accounting initiatives and cross-functional programs to improve processes and financial reporting. You will partner with finance leadership to drive scope, plan and execute complex projects, ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage complex accounting projects from planning through execution.
- Coordinate with FP&A, Accounting Operations, Tax and External Auditors.
- Drive process improvements in close, consolidation and financial reporting.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and SOX compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and GAAP/SOX compliance.
