We are seeking a Revenue Accountant, Commercial Controllership to join our Finance team in San Francisco to help scale our revenue accounting practices and support our growing business.

Role overview

The Revenue Accountant will own revenue accounting processes within the Commercial Controllership function, contribute to the monthly close, ensure GAAP-compliant revenue recognition (ASC 606), and collaborate with Sales, Contracts, and Finance to maintain accurate revenue records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute revenue accounting processes for the commercial organization
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy
• Maintain general ledger integrity and reconcile revenue-related accounts
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Contracts to interpret terms and contract revenue implications
• Support monthly close, forecasting, and reporting related to revenue
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements in revenue management
• Provide ad hoc analyses and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, finance, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems and revenue management tools
• Professional certification (CPA) is a plus
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco, CA
