Axon is seeking a Mid-level PCB Layout Engineer II to design and lay out printed circuit boards for hardware products. This on-site role based in Scottsdale, Arizona, will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure boards are manufacturable, reliable, and meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

Design, layout, and routing of PCB assemblies using Altium Designer or equivalent CAD tools
Establish and enforce design rules, stack-ups, impedance targets, and manufacturing constraints
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams for enclosure fit, thermal management, and interconnects
Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) analyses; support prototyping and validation
Review schematics, BOMs, and supplier documentation; ensure compliance with IPC standards
Support manufacturing and assembly processes, provide technical guidance, and troubleshoot boards during bring-up

Requirements

3+ years of PCB layout or electrical engineering experience
Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar CAD tools
Knowledge of IPC standards, signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal considerations
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
