Overview
Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Trainer to join our onsite team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will design and deliver training programs for production staff, develop standard operating procedures and work instructions, and support operational excellence on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver hands-on manufacturing training programs for new hires and existing staff.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Partner with Production, Quality, and EHS to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.
- Assess training effectiveness, track performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach line leads and supervisors to sustain standard work and process improvements.
- Provide on-site support for day-to-day manufacturing operations and onboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing training, production, or operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; familiarity with lean principles (5S) and safety best practices.
- Experience with training materials design, SOP creation, and basic data tracking; proficiency with MS Office; exposure to ERP systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training certification or instructional design experience.
- Experience with manufacturing analytics and process improvement projects.
