About Axon

Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our Scottsdale, Arizona-based team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for our devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve yield, reduce cycle times, and ensure robust, scalable production.

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will own process development, design for manufacturability, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will work with Design, Quality, and Operations teams to translate product designs into efficient, reliable production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for assemblies and test equipment
  • Apply design for manufacturability principles and perform DFx assessments
  • Conduct PFMEA, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Qualify equipment, tools, and processes; support process validation and calibration
  • Create and maintain process documentation, control plans, and work instructions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive yield improvement and cost reductions
  • Support manufacturing transfers, production ramp, and troubleshooting on the floor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in electronics or hardware manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, statistics (e.g., Minitab), and process capability analysis
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and typical manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
