Overview

Axon is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing operations team in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Machinist will operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and ensure parts meet tight tolerances, while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling and/or turning equipment to manufacture precision components
• Set up tooling, program where applicable, and adjust machines to meet specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T tolerances
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges) to ensure part quality
• Inspect finished parts and document inspection results
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling; troubleshoot basic machine issues
• Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Requirements

• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with CNC milling and/or turning; experience with G-code
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
