Overview
Director of Operations, Axon Vietnam, based in Ho Chi Minh City, leads the Vietnam entity's end-to-end operational functions to enable product delivery, customer success, and aggressive business growth. This role combines people leadership, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to build scalable operations that align with Axon’s global standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the local operations team; define organizational structure, hiring plans, and talent development initiatives.
- Manage facilities, procurement, vendor relationships, IT, security, and safety programs to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and expense controls; drive cost-to-serve improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, and Finance to align operational capabilities with business goals.
- Ensure adherence to local labor laws, tax requirements, data privacy regulations, and other regulatory obligations.
- Implement and monitor process improvements (Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies) to improve operational efficiency and quality.
- Establish and track KPIs for operational performance, service levels, and risk management; lead business continuity planning.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation, drive governance, and support local partnerships and initiatives that fuel growth.
- Foster Axon’s culture and brand within Vietnam, representing the company in external relationships as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in operations or program management, ideally within tech or multinational environments; prior experience in Vietnam or Southeast Asia is a plus.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities; strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Familiarity with local laws and regulatory environments; ability to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Fluency in English; Vietnamese language proficiency is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

- Experience with security, data privacy, or safety-related operations.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Salesforce) and cross-functional process optimization.
