Job Description

Axon is seeking a CMM Metrology Programmer to join our Scottsdale-based Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will develop and maintain CMM inspection programs to ensure precision and GD&T compliance on manufactured components. This on-site role focuses on delivering accurate dimensional measurements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Manufacturing and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Program and optimize CMMs (e.g., PC-DMIS or equivalent) for inspection of mechanical components
  • Develop robust measurement plans, routines, and fixtures for repeatable inspections
  • Perform first article inspections and validate measurement results against tolerances
  • Analyze inspection data, prepare clear reports, and support CAPA activities
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve non-conformances
  • Maintain calibration and maintenance records for metrology equipment

Requirements

  • Strong experience in CMM programming and metrology
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS or equivalent CMM software
  • Solid knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • On-site work in Scottsdale, AZ
