AVP, Actuarial Financial Reporting

📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Variable Annuities valuation team for financial reporting.
• Calculate US GAAP, Statutory, Tax reserves and other actuarial balances.
• Analyze reserve movements and sensitivities for Statutory and GAAP balances.
• Analyze sources of earnings in quarterly results.
• Conduct annual impact testing for potential assumption changes.
• Work with the Modeling team for modeling updates.
• Collaborate with IT and the data team on valuation system updates or enhancements.
• Maintain and improve controls, including SOX.
• Support audit and regulatory requests.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance or related field.
• FSA designation with 10+ years of experience in life and annuity insurance.
• Strong knowledge of variable annuities products.
• Experience with US Statutory and GAAP valuation is preferred.
• Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills.
• Self-starter with ability to solve complex issues independently.
• Positive attitude and collaboration across teams.
• Ownership, adaptive and self-motivated.
