Revenue Accounting Specialist

Overview

AvePoint is seeking a motivated Revenue Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in the APAC region. This role focuses on revenue recognition, financial reporting, and close processes for AvePoint's software and services.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP; ensure accurate billing and revenue processes.
• Prepare journal entries for revenue, rebates, discounts, and related adjustments; coordinate with Billing and Order Management teams.
• Reconcile revenue accounts; manage and resolve discrepancies; maintain accurate sub-ledgers.
• Assist month-end close, reporting, and financial statements; prepare schedules as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success to ensure compliant revenue treatment.
• Support process improvements and documentation; participate in internal controls and SOX compliance as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in technology or software companies.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP revenue recognition; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
• Proficiency in Excel; attention to detail and strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in APAC region; willingness to support multiple time zones as needed.
