Overview

AvePoint is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer to support the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This on-site role is based in Germany (Frankfurt am Main or Munich) and involves partnering with the sales team to design and present technical solutions that meet customer needs and drive deals. You will deliver product demonstrations, respond to requirements, draft architectures, and coordinate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes for customers in the EMEA market.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and map them to AvePoint solutions.
  • Deliver technical demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design scalable, secure data governance and cloud/data protection solutions using AvePoint products.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs, draft proposals, and address technical questions during the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services and Support to ensure smooth deployment and adoption.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AvePoint product portfolio and competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of presales or solutions engineering experience in enterprise software, ideally in data governance, data protection, or collaboration platforms.
  • Fluent German and business-level English; strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical architectures and value to both technical and business audiences.
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with AvePoint products (e.g., Cloud Governance) and cloud security standards.
