Job Summary:As
Head of Data & AnalyticsatAutogenAI, you will be both the ownerand a hands-on contributorto the company’s analytics function. You will personally deliver high-impact analysis and Power BI dashboards while setting the direction for how data is used across the business.AutogenAIalready has a modern data stack in place — including a cloud data warehouse, analytics engineering layer, and semantic models that serve core business and product verticals. This role is
not about building a data platform from scratch, but about capitalising on the foundations alreadybuilt:improving adoption, sharpening metrics, extending models where needed, and ensuring analytics is consistently driving better decisions.You will own the full analytics lifecycle: defining KPIs, ensuring the right product tracking is in place, building and evolving analytics models, and translating insights into clear, decision-ready outputs for leadership and shareholders. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and senior stakeholders, and will lead the data function, currently including a data engineer direct report.
This is not a purely strategic role. You will spend a meaningful proportion of your time writing SQL anddbtmodels, andbuilding andmaintainingPower BI dashboards that the business relies on day-to-day.
What you'll be responsible for:- Hands-On Analytics DeliveryDesign, build, andmaintaincore analytics outputs, including Power BI dashboards, ad-hoc analysis, and recurring reporting used by product, commercial, and leadership teams.
- KPI & Metrics OwnershipDefine, document, and own company and product KPIs, ensuring consistency, clarity, and trust in how performance is measured.
- Product Analytics & TrackingPartner with Product to define data goals forinitiatives,andvalidatethat data captured supports meaningful analysis.
- Analytics Engineering & Data ModellingBuild and oversee analytics models usingdbtand Redshift,preferablyfollowing Kimballapproach,ensuring data is well-structured, performant, and fit for downstream analysis and BI.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Insight TranslationWork directly with senior leadership and shareholders to answer business questions, present insights, and recommend actions grounded in data.
- Team Leadership & Quality ControlLine-manage a data engineer, review Python and SQL work, set standards for analytics engineering, andestablishsustainable team processes.
- Data Literacy & Visual StorytellingImprove data literacy across the organisation and ensure insights are communicated clearly through well-designed dashboards and narratives.
- Strong Hands-On Analytics CapabilityYou are comfortable owning analytics delivery end-to-end, from raw data through to dashboards and executive-level insights.
- Product-Minded ThinkingYou focus on metrics that reflect real user and businessvalue, andcan help teams define what success looks like before work begins.
- Analytics Engineering FluencyYou can write and review SQL,dbtmodels, and Python, and understand data pipelines well enough to ensure correctness and scalability.
- Operational Data LeadershipYou have experience managing reports, planning team growth, and balancing delivery across multiple stakeholders, with enough hands-on involvement to ensure quality, focus, and momentum.

- Competitive Salary:£80,000 - £105,000, depending on specific experience and qualifications relevant to the role.
