As Engineering Manager for our Computer Vision Team, you will shape the future of autonomous systems by leading the development of cutting-edge, vision-based applications that power the Auterion ecosystem and push the boundaries of what robotic vehicles can do.
In this key leadership role, you’ll guide a team of talented engineers and work cross-functionally with other internal teams to drive impactful outcomes across the organization. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will directly influence the evolution of Auterion’s core functionalities — empowering real-world robotics with advanced perception and intelligence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and inspire a team of high-performing engineers, and advocate for their growth and success
- Be hands-on while sharing the development workload with your team members
- Manage all stages of one of our product verticals ranging from idea to field proven release
- Partner with leadership across the organization to develop processes and strategies for producing new features and products that delight our customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Auterion to boost productivity by optimizing and scaling core infrastructure
- Drive software excellence and algorithmic precision through comprehensive testing practices, both manual and automated
- Build and lead a team of world-class professionals who are equally committed to creating lasting impact
- Empower team members with guidance and mentorship in engineering excellence, leadership capabilities, and long-term career growth
Qualifications and Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in software development with 1+ years of leading teams
- Track record of shipping reliable, extensible and maintainable software at scale in a rapidly evolving environment
- Strong knowledge of C++ and Python
- Extensive knowledge on state of the art computer vision and machine learning algorithms
- Ambitious and excited to tackle unknowns. Demonstrate a strong bias towards action and ownership
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to all levels inside the organization
- Ability to coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Solid experience with computer vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV)
- Hands-on experience using PyTorch/TensorFlow/CUDA
- Experience in training, evaluating, and optimizing machine learning models
- Hands-on experience with data collection, labeling, and indexing
- Solid knowledge of ROS or ROS2 in real-world applications
- Confident working with Docker and virtualized environments
- Good understanding of modern computer networking
- Proficiency in image processing and camera calibration
- Strong grasp of robotic systems, especially drone technologies
- Enthusiastic about CI, automation, and scalable engineering workflows
- Experience in game development and virtual testing environments
