Auterion is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to design and integrate electromechanical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. Based in Munich, Germany, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware and integrated drone solutions.
Role overview
As an Electromechanical Engineer, you will design, analyze, and prototype electromechanical subsystems for drones, work cross-functionally with electrical, software, and mechanical teams, and support manufacturing and validation.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and prototype electromechanical systems for drones (structures, mechanisms, sensors, actuators).
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and mechanical teams; perform tolerance analyses and develop test rigs.
- Create CAD models, wiring harnesses, and technical documentation; support manufacturing and assembly.
- Conduct tests (EMI/EMC, vibration) and participate in FMEA and risk assessments.
- Maintain BOMs and design validation reports; document designs and maintain technical records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
- Experience in electromechanical design, ideally in drones or aerospace.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and PCB assembly knowledge.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, cables/harnesses; knowledge of EMI/EMC and vibration testing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; proficient in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with drones, ROS, microcontrollers, or embedded systems is a plus.
