Position: Director, Tax

As Director, Tax, you will lead tax strategy, planning, and compliance for internal operations and client engagements. This role collaborates with senior leadership, finance, and legal to optimize tax positions while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax strategy and planning for client engagements and internal operations
• Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax compliance and reporting
• Manage the tax provisioning process (ASC 740) and optimize effective tax rate
• Supervise and mentor a tax team; coordinate with external advisors and auditors
• Develop and maintain transfer pricing documentation and policies
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement policy updates
• Collaborate with FP&A, legal, and deal teams on mergers, acquisitions, and structuring
• Manage tax risk mitigation, governance, and documentation standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent required; LLM in Tax preferred
• 8+ years of tax experience, ideally in professional services or corporate settings
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740, GAAP, and IFRS; experience with transfer pricing
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment based in New York
