Job Purpose

The Senior Frontend Developer is responsible for architecting and delivering the client-side applications that drive our headless commerce experiences. You will translate UX and design visions into fast, reliable, and engaging PWAs that consume SFCC headless APIs, while ensuring accessibility, performance, and maintainability across devices. Your work will directly impact user engagement, conversion rates, and the ability for our clients to iterate rapidly on storefront features.

In this role you will get to

• Develop React/Next.js applications and service-worker patterns to deliver true offline support, near-instant navigation, and seamless push/cache strategies.
• Help ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation and team communications;
• Work in collaboration with Graphic Designers & UX Designers to turn their vision into functional React Components.
• Has hands-on experience with the Salesforce PWA kit. Understands SFCC BM configurations and setting up MRT.
• Integrate with SFCC Open Commerce APIs (OCAPI, SCAPI) and GraphQL endpoints for product catalogs, search, checkout flows, personalization data, and customer profiles.
• Work with the web development team to ensure proper implementation of the website's functionality.
• Employ server-side rendering (SSR) or static generation (SSG), code-splitting, lazy loading, image optimization, and Lighthouse audits to meet PWA performance budgets and SEO requirements.
• Provide the best technical solutions for tasks, utilizing the best practices and design patterns.
• Partner with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, QA, and DevOps to define API contracts, CI/CD pipelines, and to troubleshoot issues in staging and production.
• Support and help developers come up with the best technical solutions;
• Provide recommendations to the Development Lead and functional managers on ways to improve processes, systems, tools, and role definitions based on program or project-specific experience;
• Actively contribute to continuous improvements to development methodology and underlying processes;
• Help with managing projects through making suggestions for design, development, and QA processes;
• Participate in project team meetings and brainstorming activities related to the project issues.

Your skills and qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development;
• Expertise in React/Next.js, including Hooks/composition API, routing, data fetching patterns, and middleware.
• Strong CSS skills, using Tailwind CSS, Chakra UI, CSS-in-JS (Styled Components, Emotion) or similar, plus responsive layout techniques.
• Deep understanding of PWA standards like service workers, cache strategies, Web App Manifest, offline sync, and push notifications.
• Proficient in state management libraries (Redux) and side-effect handling (Redux-Saga).
• Experience with frontend grid systems;
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and related libraries in cross-platform development;
• Experience with task runners (Webpack);
• Base knowledge of accessibility, SEO, and UX aspects of frontend development;
• Experience with client-side code performance optimization, debugging, and debugging tools;
• Experience with responsive web design approach and/or mobile solutions.
• Performance profiling & optimization using Lighthouse, Webpack Bundle Analyzer, and browser dev tools
• Common understanding of cross-browser/platform issues;
• Must be an independent, self-motivated team player who is meticulous and methodical in creating solutions;
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment;
• Excellent communication in English; ability to articulate technical trade-offs and drive alignment across distributed teams.
